Well it’s been about five months since the Zuda competition ended and we’ve wrapped up the last page of the first chapter of The Rejects. I’ve got a ton of ideas for this universe and these characters in my head, unfortunately not so much in a narrative form yet. The second chapter of The Rejects is in about the middle of my writing que right now, and Wally has been eagar to dedicate his time to some more of his own stuff, so if I were to guestimate, I’d say 8 months from now would be the absolute earliest you could possibly see more of this story(and even that is a bit optimistic probably.) Unless of course we get some totally huge unexpected explosion of fan support, or publishing opportunity that we can’t turn down. We’ve touched on working together for some more, but nothing definite, and I wouldn’t really feel comfortable working with someone else.

In the mean time, you guys can look for updates of Barflys from me on Tuesdays and Saturdays from now on until my next Zuda entry is done, and then I’ll probably alternate updates with another comic (probably Modern Day Witchdoctor) My blogs on whatever comic I’m updating will mention new Rejects news when it’s available

And from Wally you should be reading Cubicles over on Drunk Duck, his blog will keep you informed on his stuff too!

Been a busy week. I finished the first draft of a little children’s story called “The Loneliest Little Robot” thats probably at least a year away from anyone seeing it, unless of course I can somehow start making enough money to finance multiple projects at once, but I wouldn’t count on it. I got the first page of my next zuda submission back from my artist and it’s looking awesome, and Wally got me the last two pages of The Rejects, so the last page will be updating on Tuesday! No waiting another week!

Try as I might I’ve been having trouble keeping on top of my work lately. I hate late updates. But I’ve got back in the swing of writing MDW and have ironed out the first of about four problems I have with the current script so hopefully I’ll be drawing that before too long. Only two pages of The Rejects left. Whether it continues into a second chapter depends on alot of things. Wally and I are both busy getting projects off the ground and working on ongoing things and until we can get our schedule’s aligned things are going to finish up. I do have tons of plans for The Rejects Universe though, so you should be seeing more eventually, and hopefully before too much time passes.

It’s pretty late. Blog will be up around noon.

That’s right. Derrick’s plan was to turn themselves in immediately. It might seem a little anti-climactic, but he successfully kept him and his friends from getting themselves shot. If Derrick had a super power it would be being sensible, which seems like it would be antagonistic to the whole “being a criminal” thing, but thats just who he is.

I updated some of the older pages with blogs that help explain the story and The Rejects universe a little, so swing back through, and you’ll get a better sense of what these characters are about and what the world they live in is like.

How great is this page? Wally doesn’t have a lot of confidence in his coloring, but I think it’s totally unfounded. His hand on these really make them pop.

It’s hard for me to comment on these one page at a time because unlike alot of my other comics each chapter is really kinda meant to be read all at once. Plus I’m actively working on four comics at the moment, including writing, drawing, lettering, coloring and recruitting, so it’s hard for me to focus on any one of them with any sort of depth.

Still, I’m excited about every one of them, including the ones updating now, and the ones that’ll hit the web in a few months, and the ones that are waiting for a hole in my schedule.

You know how it is when you’re so tired you can’t really muster energy to do anything. I only got a couple hours of sleep last night because I was up late screwing aroung. Not even doing something important! Watching sketch comedy online. I suck.

I started working on writing some stuff yesterday, hopefully I can springboard myself back into work and back into a regular sleeping schedule.

Good mornin guys! Not a very productive weekend for me. I’m still getting used to having internet at home. Pretty soon I’ll stop playing poker online, stop playin City of Heroes and stop reading comics and staying up till 2am. Then I’ll be happy.

Good morning everyone! I’ve been in a bit of a funk lately, but I’m trying to mind-over-matter myself out of it and get some work done already! I’ve been doing alot of concept work lately, which I should steer away from actually. The last thing I need is new ideas. I need to flesh out the ideas I already have. The entire chapter is 19 pages, so it’s a little over half told at this point.

Has there been alot of famous people dying lately or what?

Well, first the bad news. My latest submission to Zuda was rejected yesterday. Now the good news! I’ll be posting it online starting July 4th. The Rejects will still update on Tuesdays and the new comic will update on Saturdays, you’ll get their via a link on capcomics.net just like everything else. Three out of the four of my Zuda submissions have been rejected, and you’d think I’d learn better then to waste their time, but nope. Wally and I have been hustling to get these pages done while juggling our own projects. I need to get my next Zuda submission completed ASAP, I’m a little over half done as it is. Wally has started updating his second Zuda entry, Cubicles over at Drunk Duck so by all means go pay the man a visit and show some support!
